The development was the winner of the Best Residential Scheme at the RICS North West Awards 2012.

This scheme brought much needed new affordable housing to this key area of Manchester. 13 of the dwellings were developed for and financed by an associated company Rowlinson Investments Ltd.

The development comprised housing for outright sale, shared equity, shared ownership and rent with all units built to the same size and specification resulting in a development blind to tenure.

The full development comprised 20 x 2 bedroom flats, 6 x 2 bedroom houses, 38 x 3 bedroom houses and a 1 x 4 bedroom house. The size of each dwelling is compliant with design for access standards.

Set around 2 landscaped squares with new access roads and associated public realm works, the dwellings are arranged in a mixture of 2 and 3 storey blocks. By the imaginative use of colour, layout and innovative design, the scheme complements the immediate vicinity.

Solar water heating units were fitted to each property to optimise energy performance..
